G. GIUGIARO WITH A GHIBLI SS

"Hi Enrico,

I thought you'd appreciate these photos with G. Giugiaro himself. This was my friend's car, then in 2012 went to a new owner.

The story behind that photo is, George was the second owner of this SS, he worked and lived in Menlo Park at the time, and Giugiaro was asked by Stanford to give a speech about industrial design, where he spoke about taxi-cabs in NY, and how to make them more economic etc.

Also, hard to see in the background, but many of Giugiaro's cars he designed were asked to be shown that day, and there was a full spread of "his" cars in attendance.

Please enjoy !

Thanks,

Ken."

MASERATI TRAVELS IN 2013

"Hi Enrico,

As promised a few snaps taken during various trips made with my Ghibli Cup during 2013.

They include:

An unloved Biturbo Coupe spotted at a scrap yard near Lucca.

Snippets from the Motorgallery event in Modena.

UK Club Concours: Ghibli Cups and my overall winning Quattroporte III - AM330A*5212*.

A much-loved Biturbo Coupe spotted in Fiesole, near Florence.

The Museo Lamborghini at Sant'Agata Bolognese.

The Museo Ferrari at Maranello.

Please feel free to use/edit as you see fit.

My Quattroporte III was first purchased in 1985 by an Italian family in the Treviso area. The family then imported the car to the UK in 1986 where it remained in their ownership until 2012. It has since been completely overhauled by McGrath Maserati, and on its inaugural trip was the overall winner of the Maserati Club 2013 concours event at Prescott.

Regards,

John."

"Hello Enrico,

Great work with your website, I have been a regular follower of the site since 2003.

My Maserati Mexico has been featured on your site back in 2004/2005, quite some time ago.

Warren's Maserati Mexico

I was wondering if you could help with the following information ?

  • Ignition Rotor part no ?
  • Ignition Points part no ?

Are these Bosch parts ?, the ignition rotor has the following “Germany” and “ZWT724” marked on the underside.

  • The rotor arm in the Mexico's distributor.
Does anyone know the after-market part number ?

Does anyone know the after-market part number ?

I have purchased these parts previously from “Maseratisource”, but it would be more convenient to have the correct part numbers to organise parts locally in Australia when required.

I can’t find reference to them anywhere on the internet.

Please find attached pictures of the old units.

    Many thanks,

    Warren."

    MASERATI QUATTROPORTE III

    "Hi Enrico,

Thought this might give everyone a laugh. Had an ice and snow storm this past week and the summer tires on the old Quattroporte were not up to going anywhere, even though they are virtually new.

Put the tire chains on - no problem ! Does compromise the the quality of the ride however.

    Even in chains - it's not a problem !

    I enjoy your web site.

    Cheers,

    THE MASERATI DAY !

    "Dear Enrico,

The Maserati Day in Japan, which is organized by the Maserati Club of Japan, was held on 16th and 17th November.

I was busy at that time so I came to Japan from China to participate in the event on the 15th, then travelled to Spain on a business trip on 17th, just after event.

It was the 20th Maserati Day this year, so it was a celebratory event for the Club.

It was sunny and warm day, and the event was held at Daiba in Tokyo (same place as Tokyo Auto Show) so that not only Club members but also many other people enjoyed seeing the beautiful Maseratis.

The Dinner Party began with an operatic recital by Ms. Nozomi Ninomiya and Mr. Angelo De Rosa.

Everyone enjoyed the excellent food and wine, music, Maserati videos and chatting together.

Second day was also a beautiful day and Mr. Masaaki Skai who is a famous actor came with his Maserati.

Mr. Adel, who works at Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia - Cultural Office, came with his family in his Maserati Royale on both days.

I enjoyed it a lot, and now I am ready to come to Modena for the 100th Celebration next year !

    Best regards,

    Hisato."
