From Miguel in Argentina

"Hi Enrico,

My name is Miguel, I live in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Here lives Nestor Salerno (Argentinean driver) who drove a Maserati 200S in 1958.

Nowadays, Nestor build cars (He knows exactly How they were because he drove it).

I own a Maserati 450S built by Nestor, and I have a lot of pics of the process.

If you think that could be useful, I ll send it to you. As you can see, this 450S is identical of the originals; same suspension, same drum brakes, same bell housing, but the engine is a 1980 4.9-litre Maserati V8 and the rear transmission is also Maserati.

The vehicle is in my garage.

Nestor Salerno made the chassis and body. In his workhop we (he and I) built the rest of the vehicle. I bought an engine from a Maserati Compound in the USA and the transmission from Euroland also in the USA.

I was responsible for the maintenance of the engine (see the pictures of the engine on the bench) and to repair the transmission (needed to change the rear gear and sync). Of course the paintwork was carried out in a bodyshop.

Regards,

Miguel."
