"Dear Enrico,
Please would you add my Maserati Quattroporte IV 'Ottocilindri' to the cars for sale section on your website.
Thanks, Enrico for your help, please find attached photographs.

Here are the details you requested:
1997 Maserati Quattroporte IV 'Ottocilindri'.
3.2-litre V8 engine producing 335 bhp.
Right-hand drive.
Automatic transmission.
Mileage: 97,000 miles.
Colour: 'Blue Nettuno Metallizzato' (Met. dark blue).
Interior: Dove Grey Connolly leather and Alcantara.
The car is fitted with a catalyst and has all of the usual electrical assists for this model/year
including electric seat, windows, central locking, etc.
The car is fitted with an Alpine radio and multi CD.
The chassis number ends in 099.
This Quattroporte was Waxoyled when new, and there is no rust on the car at all.
The car was originally owned by Maserati and I bought it directly from them at 11,000 miles in early 1999.
The car has a full service history from new, originally by Meridien Maserati and then I followed the mechanic who has worked on the car since new when he moved to being a Principal at Emblem Sports Cars, the Ferrari/Maserati specialists in Poole.
He has since done all of the work on the car, except for the recent brake job, which included new discs and ECB pads, which are fantastic!
The last major service was carried out at about 92,000 miles and an oil and filter change was done in November 2007 at 96,000 miles.
The vehicle has an MOT until June 2008 and taxed until April 2008.
The current mileage is 97,000, but this does not tell the whole story.
Due to an incorrect procedure carried out before 11,000 miles, we had a major engine failure at 84,000 miles. At that point I had to make a decision whether to scrap the car or rebuild it. I opted for the latter and as a result of three months work by Miles Aldous of Emblem Sports Cars, we ended up by virtually completely rebuildng the car, including the painstaking re-assembly by hand of the re-built engine, using all new components.
Also at this time, the radiators were renewed. All the piping, hoses and rubber items were renewed. The steering rack was renewed ,and all of the suspension mounting rubbers were replaced with new parts.
In addition to this, the car was fitted with new front springs, thrust bearings and rubber mountings. I had previously fitted the car with a custom made stainless steel exhaust from the catalyst flange backwards. The difference made by having this hand built engine was nothing short of phenominal. The car is seriously quick and superb to drive, on account of its lack of electronic aids.
I have during my ownership of this car, also owned a 3200 GT, which although beautiful is somewhat insulated as a driving machine on account of Maserati wanting to expand their custom base and subsequenty loading the 3200 with electronic aids.
The only reason that I am now wanting to sell my Quattroporte is that I have retired from my business in UK and am now living almost full time in Spain. I have had the car in Spain for the last two months to see whether it was practical to keep a right-hand drive car here, but on reflection with the constant changing of motoring laws it has become impossible to keep a UK registered right-hand drive car here in Spain, hence bringing it back to the UK.
It has to be sold and I am looking in Europe for possibly a left-hand drive Quattroporte, however the prices in Europe for this model car are around 25,000 Euros.
Consequently I have evaluated the costs to me of rebuilding this car and it's original sticker price to be around £68,000, and I think that somebody will have one super automobile.
Maserati Club member.
This superb car must be sold within the next couple of months. Will somebody please make me a reasonable offer.
