This car was my first experience at exotic ownership and I enjoy it so much I am now ready to upgrade for a Maserati GT.

This Maserati is complete, all numbers are matching, passed inspection and title is clear. I have the history of this car since she was bought new. In September 03, I replaced all brake pads, oil and filter change. Since that day I have only used RedLine synthetic 20w50. The same month I went to Domenick's European car repair in White Plains NY to adjust the carb and pass NY state inspection. This shop specializes in older Italian cars. They take care of Lancias, Alfas, Ferraris and Maseratis from the 50's to the 80s

In February 04, I went again to Domenick's for a carb tune up after the winter storage.

I was not impressed with the stock carb and electronic choke, other Maseratisti advised me to retrofit a better carb from an 84 model (larger intake, manual choke).

So I did a little homework and in May 2004 I went to Vantage Motors the vintage Maserati specialist from the tri-state area. This is what they did to the car:

- Changed timing belt, changed vacuum advance unit, changed cam and main seal, changed accelerator cable assembly, swap to 84 dual weber carburator, new steering rack mount bushing, new oil pan gasket. Changed all hoses. New fuel filters.

- Then they performed the 30K miles major service with a valve clearance check. Changed all fluids. They also put a new catalytic converter.

In March '05 after winter storage, I noticed that the car was slightly pulling when breaking so I went to Domenicks for a brake check. They replaced the 2 front calipers, brake fluid and all hoses.

As a precaution I decided to put new engine mounts and new ignition wires that I bought off of Ebay.

The car starts right away, idle perfectly and does not smoke or leak oil. I casually go up to speed with the fastest cars on the highway and get a lot of smiles and nods.

Joining the online Maserati owner group (Hi guys!) helped me tremendously to maintain this car and prevent or fix annoying gremlins without bringing it to the shop and pay top dollars. Ebay is an incredible source for Maserati parts if you don't want to pay OEM prices.

Paint from The right fender is flaking, it was a quick fix from the previous owner. I was quoted $450 to do it well. Some nicks and dings on the body mainly on the hood. I was quoted $350 to fix all of them.

The dashboard fan works when it wants. It is a leak in the vacuum lines. Some surface rust on lower door edge. The cloth top has a tear in the back but it does not leak. (The plastic window is clear and the top mechanism is very easy to operate and fold flat).
