JOHN HAS FOR SALE: His 1997 Ghibli Cup

"Dear Enrico,

Would you be kind enough to place the following advertisement and attached photos on your excellent website for me?

Many thanks.

Yours,

John."

Here are the details of my Cup:

First registered: April 1997.

Right-hand drive.

Chassis number: ZAM336B00*00400189*.

One of only 26 RHD Ghibli Cups made (only 24 survive today).

The 2-litre V6 produces 330 bhp (the highest specific output of any production car including the Jaguar XJ220 and the Ferrari 355); 0-60 in 5.2 seconds and a top speed of 168 mph through a 6-speed Getrag gearbox, yet giving an excellent fuel consumption (27.6 mpg - Autocar, 2 April 1997) and moderate servicing costs.

The car is finished in 'Rosso Maserati' red with a black leather interior, Momo Corse steering wheel, adjustable damping, carbon-fibre dashboard and drilled pedals.

Alpine radio/CD.

Thatcham Category 2 immobiliser with Tracker subscription to March 2008 (transferable).

Stainless steel exhaust.

Taxed to April 2008 and MoT to June 2008.

Main dealer/Maserati specialist maintained (bills for over £11,000 and service and ownership history available).

Current mileage is 49,100 - main service was carried out 4000 miles ago, oil, filter and plugs have just been changed. Original handbook and tools are with the car.

HPI check carried out in 2003 when purchased by me. My wife and I have had huge enjoyment from the car; it is totally usable, driving to work, going on holiday (fabulous drive down the Route Napoleon to St. Tropez, as well as down the Mulsanne straight), shopping at Waitrose, or on the track, all in tremendous comfort with wonderfully understated appearance.

"Porsche and Ferrari, eat your hearts out."

Long standing Maserati Club member.
